ABBA’s Bride is of a Sound Mind

Welcome beloved in our Messiah,

Recently, Abba has been really teaching me about double-mindedness - that hidden thing that causes us to make decisions that are not in line with The Word of Elohim.

Double mindedness can be described as one in an unwavering mind, undecided, without peace and in constant doubt. As we are all on a journey back to The Garden of our King, we cannot be in a split mind, because the mind is the place where decisions are made. If our mind is not sound in the Word of our Elohim, we are double minded. Abba really came and taught me about this topic since April and still I struggle with it at times. He showed me how so many double-mindedness happens when we do not have wisdom in Him & only listen to the opinions of others. When we listen only to the opinions of others, , we rely on the mere human understanding (which is futile) and not on Wisdom from the all-knowing ABBA Father.

James 1:6-8

'But he must ask [for wisdom] in faith, without doubting [God’s willingness to help], for the one who doubts is like a billowing surge of the sea that is blown about and tossed by the wind. For such a person ought not to think or expect that he will receive anything [at all] from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable and restless in all his ways [in everything he thinks, feels, or decides].'

James 4:8

'Come close to God [with a contrite heart] and He will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; and purify your [unfaithful] hearts, you double-minded [people]. '

Romans 12:2

'And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. '

As we read in the above scriptures, we see the importance about the renewing of our mind that included casting away from double-mindedness. James 1:6-8 describes double-mindedness so well as someone doubting God. WOW, how that changes one’s view. If you are double-minded you doubt God, if you doubt God, you don’t fully believe in Him and trust Him, see how this spirals…?

I want to encourage you to reach out to ABBA Father, and ask Him where you are double-minded and what causes you to not have a sound mind. May you be blessed with this prayer:

A prayer against double-mindedness

Abba YHVH- the holy trinity. I come sit here at Your feet to plead for a sound mind. Abba please come show me in any aspect of life where I am double-minded. Remove from me the division in my mind and forgive me for the mindset of the enemy that I took as my own. Abba, I know that You are not a God of confusion or disunity. Abba you gave us Romans 12:2 as a strategy against double-mindedness but this is only possible when I fill my mind with Your Word and Truth. Abba, I pray James 1:8 and 4:8 today to remove of me double-mindedness that cause me to doubt in You and Your faithfulness. Father, please remind me of these scriptures every time that I find myself in doubt. I praise You for the peace you give to the mind that is dependant on You.

HalleluYah, Aměn!!

Isaiah 26:3

'You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both inclination and character], Because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation]. '

May the God of perfect peace fill you with joy, gladness and peace.
