[This post has been written purely from the heart of God and I want to encourage you to put on worship music and read this slowly as I believe that He wants to set you free today].

Have you ever received such good news that you could not wait to share it with others? Like when you won a competition, or when a great business travel opportunity has landed in your lap. The news is like a fire burning in your heart that feels like it is going to explode if you don’t share it soon? What about too good to be true news? What if you were handed a bottomless bank card to follow your calling and impact the world for good, a private jet plane to go wherever you want whenever you want, and on top of that, you receive eternal immortality abound in such immunity that no disease can affect you, no bullet can kill you? Fantastic news right? (Can you imagine that for a second?) Better yet, you did not have to do anything for it. You did not have to work for it, you simply had to accept the gift and love the Giver of the Gift. Our minds have trouble accepting this, as we have learned to steer away from too good to be true opportunities.

Today I want to share with you the best news ever and what this has to do with your health. Buckle up!

We know that God created Adam and Eve in perfect union and relationship with Him. They were designed in the image of YHWH (Father, Son & Spirit) and clothed in righteousness, the presence of God. This was their state of Identity. They were righteous because of who they were dressed in. The moment they chose to follow a different kingdom (believing the serpent instead) and they disobeyed Abbas' instruction, they swapped their righteous clothing and identity for that of enslavement to death. They took on the identity of darkness as a sinner. This is why they felt naked and tried to clothe themselves with “things”. They experienced the loss of their Kingdom Identity.

Let's quickly pause at identity

Most of us reading this are South African. It is our identity. We carry a passport that says we are South African. No matter what you do or not do, it does not change your identity. This is vital to understand as the revelation of identity takes out the pressure of “works & performance”. We are not saved by our own doing. Nothing we do makes us more loved, accepted or saved. That mindset is a religious spirit like the Pharisees.

The same with the identity of being a sinner. We are not sinners by our actions [although it is the by-product of our identity], we are sinners because we are born sinners. Being a sinner is an identity that we are clothed in. In the example of being a South African, whether you eat more or less “braaivleis”, it does not change your identity. Same with being a sinner. It is not what you do that makes you a sinner, being a sinner is the identity you carry. You get a lot of great people who do great things in this world, but they do not know Christ and that means they are sinners because of being born as a sinner, they are clothed in the identity of a sinner.

John 14:6 Jesus is very clear on this:

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

This means we need to be dressed in the identity of Christ. This identity is not something we work for, it was given freely to us by the blood of Christ. Once we accept this, we take off the identity clothing of a sinner (enslavement as a slave to the kingdom of darkness) and we are dressed with the royal robes of Christ [Galatians 3:27] and clothed in righteousness. Accepting Christ means we have died with Christ and are now risen with Christ and sin no longer has a hold on us [Romans 6:4-8] For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. [Colossians 3:3]. Christ came to redeem us. To restore us from the false identity to our true identity and reinstate us to the loving relationship with Adonai as it was in Eden. Through Him (His perfect sacrifice and pure blood) we are seen as well pleasing and acceptable before the Father. And it is from this identity that our minds are renewed and we then start to act and move like Christ.

What recently hit me, was that Christ did not come to save us from death, sin or hell (although those are consequences and the end result of our identity). Christ came to save us from the wrath of God.

Romans 5:9

Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath (of God) through Him.

John 3:36  Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.

This is unbelievably good news! God came to save us from Himself. Pause and meditate on this for a few minutes.

Not only are we now dressed in the identity of Christ (righteousness = right standing with Adonai). We are sealed into this identity, for it will NEVER be removed again.

Ephesians 1:13

In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.

2 Corinthians 1:21-22

Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God, who also has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.

Stepping into this place of being dressed in the identity of Christ, means that our Kingdom ID book says, I am healed, I am redeemed, I am made blameless, I am a son / daughter of Adonai.

John 10:10

Jesus declares, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it in abundance"

This verse is often interpreted to include not just spiritual life but also abundant physical well-being as we are created as triune beings ourselves (as in the image of God) and our bodies are directly affected by our soul and spirit [3 John 1:2]. So the moment we accept Christ into our lives, and are dressed into the identity of righteousness and instantly made a new creation (as time does not exist in the spiritual realm), it is part of our Kingdom's DNA to be well in all areas of our lives. Too good to be true?

Now you might ask why we are not seeing it? My question would be, do you really believe it? Is your mind completely renewed to a point of being undeniably convinced of the truth of your identity in Christ? The enemy can’t steal your salvation, but he tries very hard for you to believe he can, and to enslave you to think you have to work for it in your own strength. It is a lie. We are no longer bound by sin. We are 100% covered by Grace. So do we carry on “sinning”. Sometimes yes, but now it sits differently. It is not as fun as before and we start to yearn for things that feed our spirit more. This is a natural progression because of our new identity in Christ. So do we follow biblical principles like keeping Sabbath? Yes, but not because we have to, because we would love nothing more. We do not live under condemnation anymore! God is not here to convict you of “your sin”, because for the last 2000 years it has not been yours, but it belongs to Christ who bought your sin with His blood. The sin that leads to disease and death. The Holy Spirit now convicts you of your identity in Christ to point you towards becoming alive in Him. This is unconditional love on an entirely new level.

When you sit and allow this truth to wash over you, you cannot help but to be relieved and filled with so much joy and thankfulness.

Proverbs 17:22

Such cheerfulness is such good medicine to our minds and our bodies, which accelerate health and healing

Will healthy organic food and wholesome living help? Absolutely! It is living with wisdom, but it is not the start of good health, your savior Jesus is! Being dressed in the identity of Christ, being clothed forever in righteousness, covered and paid for by His blood and saved by His remarkably selfless love is where your health freedom starts.

Understanding the best news one could ever receive. Health is where the Heart is.
