אֵל אֱמוּנָה ; אֵל רֳאִי ; אֵל עוֹלָם

El Emunah, El-Roi, El Olam

The Faithful God, The God who sees, The Everlasting God

During this week Abba reminded me of two stories in His word. The story of Hagar and the woman with the issue of blood.

B'resheet (Gen) 16:13-16 CJB

So she named Adonai who had spoken with her El Ro’i [God of seeing], because she said, “Have I really seen the One who sees me [and stayed alive]?” This is why the well has been called Be’er-Lachai-Ro’i [well of the one who lives and sees]; it lies between Kadesh and Bered. Hagar bore Avram a son, and Avram called the son whom Hagar had borne Yishma‘el. Avram was 86 years old when Hagar bore Yishma‘el to Avram.

Luke (Luk) 8:42-48 CJB

A woman who had had a hemorrhage for twelve years, and could not be healed by anyone, came up behind him and touched the tzitzit on his robe; instantly her hemorrhaging stopped. Yeshua asked, “Who touched me?” When they all denied doing it, Kefa said, “Rabbi! The crowds are hemming you in and jostling you!” But Yeshua said, “Someone did touch me, because I felt power go out of me.” Seeing she could not escape notice, the woman, quaking with fear, threw herself down before him and confessed in front of everyone why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. He said to her, “My daughter, your trust has saved you; go in peace.”

I asked Abba what the connection is between these stories, and He revealed the following to me:

"These women were both in situations which seemed impossible to them, but nothing is impossible for ME. Hagar and the Woman with the issue of blood needed to be reminded of who I am, they needed to know that I see them in their struggles and pain. They needed to be reminded that I am El Emunah, the Faithful God, El-Roi, the God who sees, El Olam, the Everlasting God."

I felt like Hagar and the woman during this week, I was struggling, I was tired, I was worried, but I knew that He is Faithful, He saw me in my pain, He is our Abba forever. I realized that there is power in knowing who Abba is, there is power in proclaiming that HE IS the God who sees, the faithful God, the Everlasting God. The situations I faced during this week was no match for the King of Kings who saw me during my pain and heartache. Beloved, I want to encourage you that our Abba is El-Roi, El Emunah, El Olam. He is the God who sees, the faithful one, the Everlasting King. He sees you, He knows your pain, He will be with you, through whatever it is that you are going through.

Yesha 'yahu (Isa) 41:10 CJB

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you; don’t be distressed, for I am your God. I give you strength, I give you help, I support you with my victorious right hand.

During this week I have set a challenge for myself. Whenever I am anxious, tired, or sad I remind myself of His faithfulness, and of WHO HE IS. I speak the following: "I am a daughter of the Most High King, El-Roi, the God who sees, El Emunah, the faithful God, El Olam, the Everlasting God. I am not alone, He is with me, I need not be afraid." I read scripture on His faithfulness:

D'varim (Deu) 7:9 CJB

From this you can know that Adonai your God is indeed God, the faithful God, who keeps his covenant and extends grace to those who love him and observe his mitzvot, to a thousand generations.

Eikhah (Lam) 3:21-23 CJB

But in my mind I keep returning to something, something that gives me hope — that the grace of Adonai is not exhausted, that his compassion has not ended. [On the contrary,] they are new every morning! How great your faithfulness!

Tehillim (Psa) 89:2-3 CJB

I will sing about Adonai’s acts of grace forever, with my mouth proclaim your faithfulness to all generations; because I said, “Grace is built to last forever; in the heavens themselves you established your faithfulness.”

I take a moment from my busy day and sit with Him; I ask Abba to reveal His grace and faithfulness to me. I encourage you to listen to the song: Promises by Maverick City Music as a reminder of His faithfulness. This challenge is not only a way to remind myself of who Abba is, but it is also a way through which I conquer fear and take a step back to evaluate the words which I speak over myself and my situation.

Mishlei (Pro) 18:21 CJB

The tongue has power over life and death; those who indulge it must eat its fruit.

Beloved, take heart, He is with you always, trust in the One who is and will always remain faithful.

Blessings and Shalom to you all,

Lisa.
