Light in the Shadow

I saw bubbles floating through the air, delicate, weightless, and radiant. Each one shimmered with the full spectrum of rainbow colours, swirling and reflecting the environment around it. They caught the light as they danced in the air, and then one landed softly on the water. It didn’t burst. Instead, it became a half-dome, a covering.
Suddenly, I saw our family standing beneath that dome. It rested over us like a canopy, sheltering us, wrapping us in peace. I looked up and asked Abba, “What is this?”
He answered:
“My shadow.”
I started to respond “But Your shadow is…”
And He interrupted gently but firmly:
“Light.”
He brought to my spirit the Scripture from Acts 5:15, where Peter walked through the streets and people were healed by his shadow. “That was My shadow,” He said. “Not just the shadow of a man, but My light itself. The light of My presence resting upon a man filled with My Spirit. That is the power in My shadow.”
What people saw in the physical, they could not see in the spirit. What looked like His shadow was Glory meeting Glory, it is light meeting light. It is the divine collision of Abba’s holiness and our redemption in Jesus. The light of Jesus within us, and the light of Abba over us. That is the only way the weight of Abba’s glory can dwell among us.
Without Jesus in us, the purity of Abba’s shadow - His light - would crush us. The holiness would be too much. But Jesus restores the balance. He gives us the strength to be vessels of Glory. A delicate and sacred balance. It is only in Jesus that we can carry what would otherwise consume us.
Then, in the vision, I saw a black stain spreading across my chest. Like ink, it bled through me, and the moment it appeared, the bubble shifted. The covering was gone. We were no longer under the dome. Suddenly exposed to open waters, we were vulnerable. The water was cold. Waves began to rise. Fear crept in.
My children slipped from my grip, and my husband tried to reach us, swimming hard but making no progress.
We cried out desperate and almost undone
“Yeshua! Restore us!”
I pleaded with Him to wash the stain off my chest, to bring us back into peace. In that instant, the bubble reformed. The shadow of Abba returned. The balance was restored.
We stood once again beneath the dome of light surrounded by peace. The waters around us remained choppy, the storm didn’t cease, but within the bubble… we were safe. Still. Protected. I asked Abba “Why did you leave us?”
And I heard Him speak again:
“Dwell in my shadow, don’t let your heart be deceived into sin”
This was the thin place, the place of glory. The place where heaven meets earth, and we become carriers of divine presence. Not because we earned it, but because we surrendered to it. Because we allowed Jesus to be formed in us so the shadow of Abba could rest over us.
And this, this is why we walk a sanctified life.
Not so that we will be seen, but so that He will be.
Because when others look at the bubble, they don’t see you, they see Him. They see His reflection shimmering on the outside. They see glory, peace, beauty, and light, and they are drawn to it to reach for it. You become a vessel through which His presence can move.
And then He directs your steps.
He tells you where to go.
He brings people into His space so they can encounter His presence.
His presence is not easily explained, but it’s easily experienced.
If someone reaches for your humility – guard it but if they hunger for what they sense, draw them in. Share His glory. Let them taste and see. And if they’re not yet willing to be drawn in, just let the edges of His glorious light brush up against them. That’s all it takes. One touch of His radiance ignites a longing in the human soul to know more.
Because we are not the main show. We are not the attraction. We are simply the vessels that carry His glory and move as He directs. And it’s such a sacred thing. This is not just safety, it’s Eden restored. It’s communion renewed. It’s the original design, Abba dwelling with man. Not in temples made by human hands, but in us.
This is the time for the ones who stayed hidden, who chose consecration over comfort, surrender over striving, holiness over hype. You weren’t overlooked, you were overshadowed. Not buried, but planted. And now, the bubble is forming over you. His shadow is settling. His presence is resting.
What seemed like delay was preparation. What looked like silence was sanctification. The separation was worth it. The holy work He required in the waiting was not a punishment, it was a preparation for partnership. And now, He is covering those who have remained in His light, who stayed the course and let the stains be scrubbed away, to move under His shadow, and to live in divine alignment.
This is not the shadow of fear, it is the shadow of Psalm 91:1 (AMP):
“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand].”
Abba is forming dwelling places with His people again, not just moments but remaining. Not just encounters, but habitation. And He is saying:
“Let there be light.
Let there be Yeshua in you.
Let there be My glory over you.
Let there be a dwelling place between us.
Light meeting light.
My shadow falling where My Son reigns.”
The seas may still rage around you. The culture may be in chaos. But under His shadow, there is peace. A peace not of this world. A peace that guards hearts. A peace that covers families. A peace that restores the balance when sin tries to stain what He’s made holy.
So stay. Stay in the secret place.
Stay where His light rests.
Don’t trade the covering for worldly views of comfort.
Don’t let the stains remain.
Let Him wash you clean.
Let the balance be restored.
Because this, this place beneath His shadow, is where His oil flows. It’s where the impossible bends to His obedience. It’s where rest is real and peace reigns. You don’t need to leave this place.
This is the place of power.
The place of glory.
The place where light meets light, and you are made a dwelling place for Abba Himself.
John 14:2–3 (AMP):“In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and I will take you to Myself, so that where I am you may be also.”
