Shalom beloved

We are currently in the season of preparation for the first festivals of Abba Father according to Leviticus 23, Pesach and Unleavened Bread. As this season draws near it is really a time of cleansing, repentance and forgiveness. At this festival we partake in the covenant meal as this is the festival Yeshua was crucified. For us to partake of this cup we need to be assured our hearts are pure before the King for if not we are drinking over ourselves a curse.

1 Corinthians 11:27 – 29 AMP

“So then whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in a way that is unworthy [of Him] will be guilty of [profaning and sinning against] the body and blood of the Lord. But a person must [prayerfully] examine himself [and his relationship to Christ], and only when he has done so should he eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks [without solemn reverence and heartfelt gratitude for the sacrifice of Christ], eats and drinks a judgment on himself if he does not recognize the body [of Christ].”

I started praying to Abba Father, seeking His face to know what His desire is for me. Whether I need to fast and ask Him what He requires of me to lay down in order to grow closer to Him. Abba showed me that the month before the month of the festival, He will journey with me on forgiveness. I remember thinking to myself: ‘I don’t understand what Abba means, I’m not angry or unforgiving in my own eyes against anyone…’ Well, obviously Abba knows us better than anyone!

As week 1 started Abba took me to places I never even thought of and I just came to know how He truly knit together our innermost parts.

Psalm 139:13-16 AMP

“For You formed my innermost parts; You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb.

Over these few weeks of forgiveness and learning to forgive, I’m more in awe of the sacrifice Yeshua made for us and what it meant. During this time, I am continually reading Matthew 26 about the betrayal, the last supper and how Yeshua was treated when He faced the Sanhedrin. They spat on Him, mocked Him and beat Him. In addition, this was not even as bad as the actual crucifixion. All of this He did so that those who believe in Him may never perish but have eternal life and through His blood be washed clean from our sin.

Matthew 26:28 AMP

“for this is My blood of the [new and better] covenant, which [ratifies the agreement and] is being poured out for many [as a substitutionary atonement] for the forgiveness of sins.

I am now realizing how important it is to forgive because that was part of the sole purpose of Abba’s only begotten Son to die. It was because He so loved us and wanted to give us a chance to one day spend eternity with Him.

Matthew 6:14-15 AMP

“For if you forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins], your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others [nurturing your hurt and anger with the result that it interferes with your relationship with God], then your Father will not forgive your trespasses.”

Back to forgiveness…

The word of Abba יהוה came to me saying:

“Forgiveness is a process. Come to the garden and let Me show you how forgiveness looks.” I saw a yellow flower first enclosed and then slowly opening before my eyes until it was in full bloom. As it was now open a 1000 butterflies came flying out. I smelled something sweet.

Abba continued:

“When you forgive I can pour a new anointing over you that will please Me. Through that forgiveness I then open new doors and it each represents a word of testimony glorifying My name.”

Matthew 18:20-23 AMP

“Then Peter came to Him and asked, “Lord, how many times will my brother sin against me and I forgive him and let it go? Up to seven times?”  Jesus answered him, “I say to you, not up to seven times, but seventy times seven.”

Beloved, take a moment to sit with our King and let Him reveal to you. May we always be ready to forgive others as we too are forgiven our countless sins.
